High-quality 2-person trekking tents for great comfort

Whether you opt for our ANTAO line or our HAMRA series, our 2-person trekking tents are always a good choice. You can comfortably fit two sleeping mats in them and still have enough space for your equipment. From the 2021 season, all tunnel tents will have the new roll-up ventilation integrated in the rear, where you can regulate the tent climate well in summer or easily remove any condensation from the 2-person trekking tent in the morning if the weather conditions are right. The Hamra light and Hamra light HC tents offer you an extremely good feeling of space and, with four ventilation openings and fully closable mosquito nets at the inner tent entrance, offer a great deal of comfort, making your stay in the tent very pleasant. And if you don't want to choose between a tunnel tent or dome tent, take a look at the FEMUND. This 2-person trekking tent takes the decision out of your hands by combining the best features of both types of tent. Steep walls, an extremely long sleeping area, where even 2-metre tall people can find enough space, as well as two opposite entrances and exits with vestibules characterize the Femund. Each of our 2-person trekking tents is designed precisely and specifically for your personal requirements. Because only if you feel comfortable with and in your 2-person trekking tent, and can relax and unwind, will you be able to achieve and enjoy all your goals on the tour.

When is a 2-person trekking tent the right tent for me?

Logically, whenever you are traveling as a couple. So far so good, but there are also other criteria that speak in favor of buying a 2-person trekking tent. A 2-person trekking tent can also be used comfortably on its own. The difference in weight is not quite as noticeable with the ultralight models, but you have much more space and usually also larger vestibules to dry and safely store your wet and muddy equipment. A 2-person trekking tent is the perfect choice for you alone, especially if you are not going on extreme tours and don't need to pay attention to every gram. And for all those who are traveling as a couple, don't want to pay attention to the last gram and want space and room, our larger Antao III light HC or Hamra light HC tents are always a good choice. More space always means more comfort and a good night's Sleep.

Two-man tent: What is important when buying?

As with the 1-person trekking tent, the weight, location and pack size are important purchase criteria. You should also make sure that it is properly waterproof and that the 2-person trekking tent can also be well ventilated. The larger your 2-person trekking tent, the more important it is that it is quick and easy to set up and take down, which is the case with all Rejka tents. Sustainability is more important than ever for our future, so you should also check whether your future outdoor home can be repaired quickly and professionally and whether the inner or outer tent can be purchased separately. You should also check whether the social standards in the mostly Asian factories are guaranteed and whether the workers there receive a fair income. We can guarantee all of this at Rejka and can therefore sell our tents in Europe and around the world with a clear conscience!

What should a 2-person trekking tent be able to withstand?

Generally speaking, lightweight tents made of polyester or nylon material are always more sensitive than the robust versions made of cotton fabric, which are designed for camping. Nylon tents are not intended for continuous use. Nevertheless, the lightweight 2-person trekking tents that we produce are also durable and a safe companion on tour if you pay a little attention to where the tent is pitched and how you handle it after the tour. On tour, please always make sure that the site is cleaned before pitching the 2-person trekking tent, as sharp stones and thorns are always bad for the inner tent floor. When packing the tent, also make sure that the tent is not rolled up over such objects. You should also never pitch your tent under trees or in the forest in windy and stormy weather, as falling branches can damage the tent and, in the worst case, injure the occupants. The 2-person trekking tent can easily be packed up wet and pitched wet again in the evening. You can also do this with our tents for weeks or months. After the tour, however, a wet 2-person trekking tent should never be stored in the pack sack for longer than 3-4 days, as otherwise mildew stains and mold will form that you can no longer remove.

What does UL mean for 2-person trekking tents?

In our 2-person trekking tents, UL stands for Ultra Light. This means that we have once again reduced the weight of our tried and tested models to make your tours even easier. We mainly save weight on the flysheet, where we use a 20 denier fabric instead of the 40D material and pay attention to every gram in the details of the toggles, buckles and connecting parts. This is why the Antao II light & Antao II light UL tunnel tents etc., which are the same size, are not compatible with either the flysheet or inner tent, even though they are identical in size.

What is the ideal place to pitch my 2-person trekking tent?

Of course, this always depends on where your tour has taken you. A 2-person trekking tent does need some space and should be designed so that it can be set up and taken down quickly. From our experience, we can say that you should, if possible, use a wind-protected and possibly shady place for your 2-person trekking tent. If the ideal pitch cannot be found, it is advisable to place the short side into the wind so that it does not have so much surface area to attack and the ventilation can be used more effectively. However, if there is a storm, it is better to pitch the high side into the wind, as otherwise the outer skin will very quickly press on the inner tent and you will only be busy stabilizing the tent from the inside during the storm so that you are not crushed.

Can I use my 2-person trekking tent all year round?

In principle, you can go on tour with your 2-person trekking tent in any weather. However, please note that these tents are not designed for heavy winter use with lots of snowfall.
